Dr. Sajal Kumar Jha is currently Professor and officiating Dean, School of Medical Sciences at the Adamas University, Kolkata, India. He has more than 15 years of rich experience with a blend of teaching, research and administration. He completed B. Pharm and M. Pharm Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka. He earned his Ph. D (Pharmaceutical Sciences) from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. His doctoral research work is on formulation and development microemulsion drug delivery system for the improvement of oral bioavailability. Dr. Jha carries out research on immediate release dosage forms, gastroretentive drug delivery systems, targeted drug delivery systems. He has more than 45 national and international publications in peer reviewed journals to his credit, more than 25 poster and oral presentations in various national and international conferences. He is author of 4 books in the domain of pharmaceutical Sciences. He has so far mentored more than 30 master’s students for their M. Pharm dissertation work. Dr. Jha has worked as Organizing Secretary, Convener, Co-convener, Chairperson Scientific Committee, evaluator for Oral & Poster sessions in various National & International conferences. He is the life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP), and Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (SPER). Dr. Jha Serving as Editor-in-Chief, Member Editorial board, Section Editor, Reviewer for various indexed Pharmacy National & International Journals. Dr. Jha well acquainted with approval and regulatory provisions of AICTE & PCI. He is also having rich experiences of handling various rankings and accreditation processes like NIRF, NBA & NAAC. Dr. Jha is the recipient of Distinguished Alumni Award (2013), Academic Excellence Award (2018), Best Faculty Award (2020) and Pharma Recognition Award (2020).
